Driver leaves scene after knocking over 17-year-old cyclist

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was knocked off his bike by a vehicle which failed to stop in Swindon.

The incident happened between approximately 9.45am and 9.50am this morning (12/11).

The cyclist – a 17-year-old male – was riding his bike on Holbrook Way when he was knocked off his bike by a vehicle at the junction with Bridge Street.

The cyclist sustained bruising to his head and knee.

It is believed the offending vehicle was a grey Fiat Punto.

PC Robert Dent said: “We are appealing for any witnesses to the incident, in particular, anybody who may have been driving in the area at the time who may have footage on a dash-cam which could help our enquiries to identify the vehicle and driver.”
