Take on the challenge of trekking along the historical Ridgeway path and support Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

The charity has places available in the Dixons Carphone Race to the Stones on the weekend of 4 and 5
July 2020.

Participants can walk or run the ancient path from Lewknor in Oxfordshire to the finish in Avebury,
Wiltshire. There is the option of completing the route non-stop or over two days by camping overnight.

Amy Becker is a Wiltshire Air Ambulance supporter who is taking part. She completed a 60km trek in
China in 2017 for Wiltshire Air Ambulance and was at last year’s Race to the Stones supporting friends
and their guide from that trek.

Amy, 25, and a customer assistant from Westbury, said: “I’ve decided to do the Race to the Stones for
Wiltshire Air Ambulance because I was so inspired by the walkers coming through the charity’s checkpoint
last year.

“The 100km non-stop is a step up from what I achieved in China and I was ready to take on another
challenge.

“My reason for supporting the air ambulance is they attended the fatal accident of my cousin, Matthew
Mason, back in 2002. Our family has supported it ever since, especially because you never know when a
loved one may need the service in the future.”

Kenresa Stratford, events co-ordinator at Wiltshire Air Ambulance, said: “We’re looking forward to being
involved in the Race to the Stones again. Last year’s participants raised over £12,000 for Wiltshire Air
Ambulance and we hope that we can beat this in 2020.

“By taking part in this exciting event you’ll be following in the footsteps of travellers who roamed the
ancient Ridgeway path over 5,000 years ago. You’ll experience some stunning countryside and the
camaraderie of those who are taking on the challenge with you.

“This year is a special one for Wiltshire Air Ambulance as it is our 30 th year of flying and saving lives and
what better way to mark the occasion by completing an ultra marathon!”

Entry costs £44 for a non-stop place or £64 for a weekender place. Participants are asked to raise a
minimum of £425.
