• To celebrate National Playgroup Week (19 - 25 May),
• Toothill Farm Playgroup arranged several special
• events for their children.
• •
• The week began with a visit by the local Police Officer
• who entertained the children with a talk on road safety.
• On Tuesday, films featuring the Green Cross Code and
• playgroup activities were shown by the Health Visitor.
•
• Thursday produced a visit by Mr. Brownie and his 1957
• Dennis Fire engine. After allowing the children to
• explore the appliance, Yr. Brownie kindly gave a very
• interesting and informative talk on fire drill. (some
• of you may have noticed that we were featured on the •
• front page of Thursday's Evening Advertiser).
•
• The grand finale to this exiting week was a visit by
• Sargeant Giles from the Wiltshire Constabulary's Traffic
• Division, who brought along his patrol car and took the •
• children around the estate to demonstrate the car's
• equipment.
•
• Congratulations to all concerned on making this week
• a success.
