       There 's s magnificent turnout of about 120 residents to the meeting with Th^mes-

       down councillors and of icers on July 4th; thank you to all who came, and p                      rtic-
       u1arly to all those who helped with the arrangements. 4 further meeting wns held
       on July 11th of the people who had put their names down s volunteer represent-
       atives on July 4th. It wes agreed here that the old Steering Committee (who
                         p
       organised the  ublic meeting) should continue to function, plus the volunteer-
       who came for-*l ard until elections of representatives can be held; since we are,
       and always have been, anxious to avoid self-election and non-accountability. We
       aim to be recognised es the body which all Toothill residents have had the
       opportunity to -nprove so that we can push the Council and other authorities to

       de'l wi h YOUR grievances.
       The BACK PAGE of this copy of the T.,ink is a.  BALLOT PAPER . It contains a lis+ f
       those residents who have volunteered to serve the Toothill Residents Organisation
       and with your approval they will constitute the Reoresntatives' Committee until
       the next General Meeting of residents. See the back n'ge for further details.
       PLEASE GIVE US YOUR SUPPORT VOTE NOW  so th?t we can get on with the essential job
       of making sure th-      re  sidents have as much say as possible in the development of
       Toothill.
       If you were one of the residents to whom action was promised at the public
       meeting, please let us know the result. If there is no response or action, then
       we will demand to know why.
