In reply to June Cole's "Come on
all you dog owners".
I am a dog owner and a
responsible parent.
My dog does not:
1. Break down the trees at the
Colchester Close bus stop.
2. Break down the fence around
the school (kirkstall Cl.)
3. Spray paint onto the map at
the entrance to Toothill.
4. Drop crisp packets and sweet
papers.
5. Break bottles in the toddler's*
play areas.
6. Skate-board or bicycle on
pavements, and
7. Motor-cycle on the sound
barrier to the annoyance of
the local residents.
Nor do I allow my dog to foul
foot paths.
So, come on all you child
owners, where is your sense of
values?

real picture of what he tries to
unsuccessfully put over. They
are only viords and do nothing
convincing or evidential about
God and his universe. Our

With reference to the "Ideas
for the sculpture scheme", for
outside the Toothill Shop. I
think the sculpture already in
position, in May's Link, i.e.
"The question mark", is the
greatest idea of all. It brings
to mind the fears of all us
housewives shopping at the local
shop daily. The big question as
to what over the top prices we
will be charged today?

Dear :sir,
Mr Adams, in the last issue,
accuses me of being vague, and of
not saying openly what I mean.
If words like "evil" and "love"
are vague, then that accusation is
unavoidable. But although the
words cover wide ranges of life,
most people are able to understand
# clearly what they mean in practice
x and to recognise them when they
come across them. Most also
believe it is right to fight evil
and follow the way of love.
In order to do that, in practice
we need to be committed to one
another, involved with the life of.
those about us. This means at
work, in our homes, and in our
communities, in our social lives.
One example is the, work of voluntary
services - featured in the last
issue on the reverse side of Mr
Adams' letter! It obviously varies
for each of us, according to our
different abilities, interests and
so on.
If Mr Adams still thinks I am not
being open, he can ask me to
suggest some specific involvement
if he likes

We have formed a new club for
motor-cyclists in the Swindon area.
We are called the Brunel Motorcycle
Club and meet every Tuesday at the
'Fox and Hounds', '7roughton.
We are open to riders of foreign
motorcycles of 250cc or over, who '^
hold a full motorcycle licence, and,
to riders of British motorcycles
of all sizes.
Future events include a club run to
Spa, Belgium for the World Champion
-ship Endurance ?ace in August.
