Elsie Hazel Court Welcome to
The new Thamesdown Council sheltered housing
scheme for the elderly is rapidly filling up at
Freshbrook Village Centre. Some residents will
be moving to Swindon to be near relatives. A
warm welcome to them aswell as to Swindonians
moving to Elsie Hazell Court. This is the fourth
sheltered scheme in our area and a fifth is under
construction. This kind of housing allows
elderly persons to maintain an independent life-
style within their own private flats, while offer-
ing social contact with other residents in the
communal lounge, and the security of the
warden's neighbourly eye.
Although the Council have fitted the lunge with
the essential things, there are always items
which the residents would appreciate, which can TOOTHILL,
come either through donations or by their own
