As you may have read in the local press, Geoff Maddison has resigned from Thamesdown
Borough Council. After being elected in March pressure of work and personal reasons have
forced him to resign.
Richard Midwinter and Mike Mann will take over the committees that Geoff sat on (Public
Works and Planning) until next May, when elections will take place in the whole Borough and
a replacement is elected.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Geoff Maddison, on behalf of all the
Residents of the Ward, for the efforts he has put into representing the Toothill, Freshbrook
and Westlea area. His assistance to us, as part of your TEAM of councillors and to many
others in the area, has been invaluable, as it takes a TEAM to represent the views of this
rapidly expanding ward effectively. The workload and pressure arising from it, can only be
described as immense.
