Dear Friends,
During the long summer nx-onths we seem to have lost touch with each other to
some extent with the result that the vital spark which is the nuclaus of the Community
Snirit in Freshbrook has become somewhat dimmer than it was in, say, Jun ' , or July.
It is the extent to which individuals are nrenared to commit themselves to Freshbrook
p
Community that has in the east marked Freshbrook out as a Community Grou which is a
cut above the average. Above, you will see details of an event which, together with
the Halloween Dance and Fancy Dress evening, will, I hone, nrovide us with the
g
opportunity to get together again, to renew our vi our and nrepare us for the months
ahead.
I have spoken of renewing old acquaintances; but let me not forget that the re
y
are many of you who have only just moved to Freshbrook. Ma I take this oprnortunity
y
of offering you a ver warm welcome and of inviting you to come and join Freshbrook
Village Group in its work for the community. Mrs Jackie Rafferty, Arrivals Officer
y
for this area; will be calling on ou, you could let her know if you are interested in
joining one of the many clubs or committees. Jackie lives in Freshbrook and will I em
sure he able to put you in touch with the g roun of your choice. lternatively you
could contact Roger Ogle, Community ?development Officer, who also lives in Freshbrook.
Both can be contacted on Swindon 26161 extension 3178/3179.
