         Just a note to say a very big 'THANK YOU' to all of you who
     helped to keep a large number of children occupied druing the
     course of the WASPS playscheme at the Link Centre. We could'nt
     have managed without you and we hope you enjoyed yourselves
     despite the amount of energy the playscheme must have taken out
     of you - special thanks to Dawn, Suzanne, Mary, Lisa and Shirley
     for the time you put into the planning - who's willing for next                      •

        A group of mums have been meeting since last summer in an
    attempt to start a Playgroup and Mother & Toddler Group in the  124 COMMERCIAL ROAD, SWINDON  0793 33301
    Oliver Tomkins Schools catchment area. This has proved quite a
    challenge as there are no suitable buildings in the area. We have  127 HIGH STREET, WOOTON BASSETT 0793 850321
    therefore had to raise (11,500 in order to buy, site and equip a
    second-hand temporary building on the corner of Kiln Park near the
    British Telecom and Parks Depots, off Rowton Heath Way.    Are you thinking of selling?
        18,500 has already been raised and planning permission obtained
    so that we are ready to site the building as soon as the lease has
    been signed(hopefully at the end of September). There will still be
    a lot of work to do, preparing and equiping, but we are aiming to  We are in touch with the right people to
    open in early November.
         Much has already been done but we now need:-          buy your house.
     I) Children: Please send name, address and date of birth to me.
    Preference will be given to children resident in the Oliver Tomkins  Our residential department has a large
    Schools catchment area or with brothers or sisters at the school.
    Parents will be invited to an important meeting in late September,  number of ready buyers for property
    2) Adults : especially those with building, plumbing and decorating
    skills. The building is just a shell and needs partitions, decorating  in the Western Expansion Area. We understand
    and plumbing. We hope the parents will help but would love to hear
    from anyone else with time on their hands.
    3) A Supervisor : We invite applications for the post of Playgroup  your need for fast and reliable service.
    Supervisor from suitably qualified and experienced people. Since the
    Playgroup is to be associated with the Oliver Tomkins C of E
    Schools it is hoped that the Supervisor will be in sympathy with the
    Christian aims of the school though not necessarily Anglican. We  Contact us now!
    plan to open 5 sessions initially and propose to pay £1.75 per hour
    (to be confirmed). We will interview and appoint in October so that
     the successful applicant can be involved in the final preparations.
