Shaw "gossip" Aromatherapy
Heidi Merriman has one of the more un-
usual jobs amongst West Swindon residents. She
has just moved to Shaw after studying Hair-
dressing and all aspects of Beauty Therapy.
But what sets her apart from the more
traditional beauty consultants is her interest
and expertise in Aromatherapy. This is the use
of essential oils for inhalation to help colds,
headaches and asthma, as an ointment for
nervous tension, anxiety and stress and as a
relief of dry, chapped skin, aching muscles,
poor circulation and other disorders. Usually
essential oils are used in the bath water to
stimulate or soothe the senses.
Heidi stresses that Aromatherapy is not
a substitute for traditional medical treatment
where required, but it can help people lead
healthier lives by creating a better harmony
