Have you ever wondered how anyone
24 hour personal service knows if street lights don't come on?
The answer's rather simple.
The Southern Electricity Board do
things called 'sweep searches' every week
during the winter and once a month during
the summer. This way they can spot the
ones 'missing' i.e. not working.
Another way is by people being com-
munity minded. Would you be willing to
' 1 keep an eye on the lights in part of your
street? If any go out all you have to do is
to send a pre-paid card off. What could be
simpler?
If so please ring Bob Pixton on 695317
who can provide you with some post cards
