Swindon Council community worker Pam Pixton, with help from The
Link, is collecting details of groups in West Swindon so that she can put
people in touch with each other.
People who moved into the area in the 1 980s will remember Pam or
one of her predecessors tramping through the mud to their front door

be found, and lists of local organisations.
Although the 'welcome service' ceased, The Link has carried on the
tradition of publishing contact names, addresses and telephone num-
bers for medical services, schools, councillors and churches in our
Community September edition in the West & North section.
Pam's aim is to add to this information with lists of community groups
covering all ages and interests. However it will not be published widely
Dividend unless the group contact agrees. The existence of group contacts will
be publicised through The Link and those who want to join will be asked
Scheme to contact Pam for the details.
