characters inside including a gossiping fish wife with the tide in her hair,
a swashbuckling sea salt with tales of flotsam and jetsam and a real live
mermaid with a haunting siren's song and an intriguing secret.

Old Town gets into the festival fun
The jubilee spirit takes over Swindon Old
Town in July and organisers would like to
hear from entertainers of all sorts - danc-
ers, musicians, clowns, jugglers, face
painters - who might like to take part.
Events start with a fancy dress parade
through the streets on Saturday morning,
6 July followed by stalls, crafts and enter-
tainment on The Lawn. They move into
Town Gardens on Sunday 7 July.
