The British Heart Foundation is looking for teams of ten to take pa rt in
dragon boat races at Coate Water on 22 June.
The morning is spent learning how to race the thirty foot craft,
complete with drummer and an experienced helmsman on board,
followed by time trials and a knockout competition.
The Cricklade Hotel & Country Club is offering two days full board and
use of facilities for two, to the competitor who deposits the most
sponsorship money on the day. Cash raised from the event will pay for
much needed medical equipment and heart research.

START THINKING ART FOR JUNE
The second Swindon Arts 'Think Art Week takes place from
20 to 30 June. There are lots of opportunities to take part.
1. Nationwide Think Art exhibition prize competition on the theme
of New from Old. Any media, first prize of £250, open entry to
anybody born, lives or resides in Swindon district.

3. Craft Day - 29 June. Demonstrations and stalls. Crafts people
