             Over 200 adults and pupils from seven primary, secondary and special
             schools have contributed their talent to two large art works at Uplands
             Special School in North Swindon.

                   Artists put on a show of confi dence
             A group of women, who at the beginning of the year had barely touched
             a drawing pen or a paint brush since leaving school, discovered their in-
             ner artist on a ten week Drawing for the Terrifi ed course with tutor Tracey
             Baker-Stewart  and  held  an  exhibition  of  their  work  at  Abbey  Meads
             Primary School at the end of March.
              The course was organised by North Swindon Extended Schools Ser-
             vice in association with the school, Swindon Council and New College.
