Two pre-schools start in Freshbrook
After a few years of diminishing provision, Freshbrook now has two
brand new groups providing pre-school experience for under 5s which
both launched on 21 April.

Millbrook Primary School has opened Caterpillars Pre-School in the
community room next to the reception class. Early years foundation stage
manager Alison Stone said the group would be open on five mornings
a week and afternoon sessions would start if there is demand. “We’re
extending the foundation stage 2 to foundation stage 1 to make the transi-
tion from home into pre-school and then school as smooth as possible.”
