This weekend saw the much-anticipated relaunch of the new Swindon B&M store in Ocotal Way.
Feedback from regular customers found that the general consensus was that the majority wanted a bigger shop and even more products.
The new 25,691. sq. ft. store is said to offer an even bigger selection of bargains from big brands across a variety of departments. The store also boasts its own 8,677sqft garden centre selling hundreds of plant varieties and gardening essentials.
The colleagues were also asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community. Staff chose the team from The Harbour Project to take centre stage and officially unveil the new store.
The Harbour Project welcomes and supports refugees and asylum seekers in Swindon. They have been working since the Kosovo crisis in 2000 to help those who have risked their lives, families and homes fleeing war and persecution.
The charity welcome over 100 visitors a day to their organisation, offering support, practical help and a warm, safe space for social integration and classes.
A spokesperson from B&M said: “A big thank you to the team at The Harbour Project who helped us open the store, we hope that our donation can help them to continue to do the great work they do in supporting the local people.”
Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded groceries for the best possible price including a range of food, drink, and pet food.
There will also be a wide selection of quality health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts and plenty more to explore.
