Eight Interactive is launching two new services to encourage brands to use video.
According to the specialist Swindon video content firm, video raises visibility and generates more leads and sales, and nine in 10 people say they want more videos from brands and businesses.
In addition, the average person spending more than 100 minutes a day watching online videos.
Pam Jones, who heads up Eight Interactive, and who has been creating digital and video content for more than 20 years, is passionate about encouraging business owners to harness the power of video to promote their businesses.
“Any businesses which don’t use video on their websites simply aren’t engaging effectively with their audiences,” she said.
“Everyone loves video and the growth of video is phenomenal. Video marketing stats prove how effective video is and businesses need to respond to this.”
One of Eight Interactive’s new services aims at helping business owners create video blogs, or vlogs. With ‘Video Blogs Done for You’, Eight Interactive will help plan, batch film and edit a series of video blogs, unique to the business.
Pam believes people’s appetite for video will only grow, and longer form video is also essential.
“This is about a planned approach, where videos are professionally filmed, with branding, appropriate background music, closed captions and fully edited," she said.
"They are educational pieces, to give audiences an insight into a business, which helps build relationships and customer loyalty.”
Eight Interactive says a lack of time, knowhow and confidence is what deters many business owners from using video blogs.
Pam added: “Many of our clients come to us because they have tried making their own video blogs but been unhappy with the result, or they have made one or two ad hoc videos but not had the time to make any more. Some have never tried it at all, because they lack the knowledge and the confidence.
“With our new service, we can batch film several videos at once, then edit and put them together to create a series of video blogs. Of course, they can also go out on social media, and because they are evergreen, they can be used time and again.
"Gradually, business owners can build up a library of quality video, which they can share multiple times.”
The second new service is a Business Promotion Video, a video for a website homepage, which will keep visitors on the site for longer.
Pam said: “When people work with us, they end up with really great, promotional videos. We’re not creating quick social media videos. These are professional videos, which showcase a business and its message and are primarily to be used on a company’s website.
"Video is essential too, for search engine optimisation as it boosts a website’s rankings, and a business promotion video for a website is designed to do just that.”
Both new services - Video Blogs Done for You and Business Promotion Video – are aimed at small businesses wishing to invest in video to raise the profile of their brand.
As well as film video, Eight Interactive offers a range of video content services to businesses, including animated explainer videos, software demo videos and animated logos, and also runs online video training courses.
