Business networkers are being urged by Optimum - a local professional services firm - to get their skates on and sign up for a free event this New Year.
Optimum is teaming up with Swindon Wildcats for an evening of networking and the chance to watch an ice hockey match, at Swindon Link Centre on Saturday 14 January.
The evening starts at 5pm with networking and nibbles, and includes seats to watch the face-off against Sheffield Steeldogs.
Swindon-based Optimum runs regular networking breakfasts at its offices in Stratton, but the joint event with Swindon Wildcats is a new venture.
Tracy Heath, Optimum's Operations Director, said: “We’ve been corporate sponsors of Swindon Wildcats for some years and we love following the team’s progress, so, it seemed a great idea to run a joint event, where business people can come along and network, with the chance to watch a game at the team’s Link Centre home. We’re really looking forward to it.”
The evening is described as being a laid-back event, with some hard-hitting ice hockey entertainment and the chance to network. There will also be a free prize draw and a post-game interview with Head Coach Aaron Nell.
Sally Fox-Price, Commercial Manager at Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats Ice Hockey Club, said: “All of us here at the Wildcats HQ are extremely excited to host our joint event with our sponsors Optimum this coming January.
"This is not only a great opportunity to meet other local professionals and showcase your business, but people will also get to experience an action-packed game night. This really is networking with an edge!
“Expect to be entertained from start to finish and I can guarantee we'll have a few new Cats fans by the end of the event!”
The event is free but places are limited and going fast, so booking is essential.
