New Swindon office for Thames Water

Thames Water has moved its Swindon office to a new central base.

The firm says the move furthers its commitment to both its people and the regeneration of the town.
The office officially opened with a visit from Leader of the Swindon Borough Council Cllr Gary Sumner.
Thames Water says sustainability at the heart of the move, with 97% of waste generated throughout the project recycled and a focus on low carbon, energy efficient solutions  
Nina White, Director of Income at Thames Water, said: “Our new Swindon office is a renewed investment in the region, our people and a commitment to the customers we serve every day.
"This modern workplace will help our teams collaborate and serve our customers.”
Thames Water says the new location will create a more accessible base for staff and community partners as well as bringing additional footfall into central Swindon and supporting the town’s wider regeneration plans.
Council leader Cllr Sumner said: “Thames Water’s decision to open a new office in the town centre is a welcome boost for Swindon. 
"It supports our regeneration plans, brings skilled jobs into the heart of the town and strengthens the relationship between the company and the communities it serves. We’re pleased to see a major employer investing in Swindon’s future.”
The office has been designed by Overbury, who specialise in creating workplaces that encourage innovation and collaboration while also serving as foundations for long term growth.
Its projects focus on sustainability, with 97% of waste generated throughout this Thames Water project recycled.
Thames Water is currently carrying out what it describes as the biggest ever upgrade to its network, with a record-breaking investment of over £20bn to help fix leaks, reduce pollution and protect water quality.
