UK Shared Business Services (UKSBS), the Swindon-based shared services organisation and local employer, has been shortlisted for two awards at this year's Future Vision Awards, hosted by the Shared Services Forum, the membership body for shared services across the UK.

The organisation, headquartered in Swindon, has been recognised in the following categories:
  • Payroll Team of the Year, for the Fusion Payroll Team
  • Shared Services Centre of the Year

The Future Vision Awards celebrate the people, teams and shared service centres making a real difference across the sector. They recognise achievement and innovation across a range of areas, including leadership, resilience, service excellence, sustainability and teamwork.

Tim Knight, Chief Operating Officer said: "Being shortlisted in two categories is a brilliant achievement and a reflection of the hard work and dedication shown by colleagues across UKSBS every day. We're well on our way to becoming the leading UK public sector business services provider, and this recognition is testament to the fantastic work everyone has done to realise this ambition." Payroll Team of the Year

The Fusion Payroll Team, based at the Swindon headquarters, has been shortlisted in recognition of its commitment, resilience and teamwork during one of the most challenging periods in the service's history.

The nomination recognises the team's work on the implementation and go-live of the Oracle Fusion upgrade, a significant transformation involving new systems, processes and ways of working. The team delivered the payroll transition with a high level of accuracy, ensuring employees continued to be paid correctly and on time throughout the implementation and beyond.

Shared Services Centre of the Year

This category recognises a shared service centre making a demonstrable impact within its organisation. Over the past year, UKSBS has delivered significant organisational change in how it provides services, bringing together people, processes and technology. This has included rolling out the first of two new cloud-based systems, Oracle Fusion.

UKSBS has also completed two complex Machinery of Government programmes since 2023, onboarding over 1,500 people to its services, with a third now under way. This work has helped lead the way for the strategic onboarding of civil and public servants and the navigation of complex user needs across UK Government.

The winners will be announced at the Future Vision Awards on 11 November 2026 at Emirates Old Trafford, as part of the Future Vision: Resilience Rebooted Annual Conference.
