Property prices in Swindon increase 0.5% over the past year, outstripping the South West as a whole.
The change adds £1,300 to the typical home, according to estate agency Zoopla's March 2026 House Price Index.
The area, however, is falling well behind the UK average where prices have risen by 1.3% since March 2025.
The typical Swindon home is now worth £256,900, below the UK average house price of £271,700.
Over the past month, prices in Swindon have grown slightly, and looking back over the last five years, the average property value has grown by 17.2%.
Terraced homes have performed best in the past year, with owners seeing the value of their properties rise by 1.1%.
Terraced homes now average £242k, and prices have risen of 21% over five years.
The weakest performance has been in flats and maisonettes with prices down by 2%.
