More than 100 highly skilled jobs will be created in Swindon after the opening of a new advanced manufacturing drone factory on Thursday 20 November.
Leader of the Council, Councillor Jim Robbins, was at the official launch of STARK’s new 40,000 sq ft facility, which will provide job opportunities in software, electronics and aerospace engineering.
A spokesperson said: “Our inward investment team has been working with Will Stone MP to develop Swindon as a centre for UK drone activity, recently drawing praise from UK Defence Secretary John Healey MP.”
STARK joins TEKEVER, Flyby Technology and Munin Dynamics, who have also announced plans to invest in the Borough in the last six months.
