Great Western Hospital trust charity Brighter Futures and the DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon have formed a new partnership.
Brighter Futures will be the DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon’s Charity of Choice for the year, with both workforces coming together to support fundraising activities and events.
As part of the partnership, DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon will help support with offering complimentary meeting rooms and overnight stays for respite care.
Employees from the hotel will also help with the GWH Wellbeing Tea Trolley, which is taken around wards and departments at the hospital to provide refreshments and a friendly face for NHS employees to ensure they have a much-needed break during their busy shifts.
Alongside these contributions, DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon has agreed to fund the design and print a new Brighter Futures information leaflet and 'thank you' badge for the team to use to continue to raise awareness of the work the charity does to support the Trust.
The leaflet will include a complimentary coffee voucher that can be claimed at the hotel, with the option to pay the cost of the coffee forwards as a donation to the charity.
Emma Richards, Director of Sales at DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon, said “We are delighted to work alongside Brighter Futures and excited to collaborate in many ventures to come.”
Adam Wainwright, Donor Development Manager at Brighter Futures, said: “It is wonderful to launch our very exciting partnership with the team at the Double Tree Hilton in Swindon. We have both been working in collaboration very hard for some months now, and it was lovely to be able to share our relationship aims and goals.
"We are confident that this relationship will be seen and viewed as best practice, and others might be inspired to do something similar in the future. We have lots of partnership activity to look forward to.”
