Local charity Carer Support Wiltshire has started its search for a Treasurer to look after its budgets.
Carer Support Wiltshire supports people who are caring for someone, helping them to access services, information, education and training, respite and breaks from their caring role.
They provide a voice for unpaid carers with health and social care professionals and employers, and work to make sure their contributions are recognised and valued.
As well as supporting people in Wiltshire, they also support those in Dorset under the name Carer Support Dorset.
The charity is currently looking for someone who can join the Board of Trustees and provide strategic advice and support on all matters relating to their financial running.
Applicants must have a sound knowledge of financial procedures with a good working knowledge of financial legislation relating to the running of a registered charity to fulfil both financial and governance duties.
Liz Brown is Chair of Trustees and said: “The charity is at a very exciting stage in its development with a highly enthusiastic and committed team.
“We very much look forward welcoming a new treasurer, who relishes getting the best from finance, to help us achieve our vision for Carer Support Wiltshire to be the lead provider to unpaid carers in Wiltshire and Dorset."
Those that feel they have the financial experience to step into this role and would like the opportunity to volunteer with a charity that is benefitting those who are caring for someone, often in challenging circumstances, can send an application to [email protected].
Carer Support Wiltshire are currently recruiting for a number of job roles, including two other trustee positions and paid positions in comms, fundraising and hospital support.
