The Queen Consort has invited five representatives of Prospect Hospice to be part of the Coronation celebrations this weekend.
The upcoming coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla on Saturday 6 May is said to be a momentous occasion for the Royal Household and a lot of the nation.
The Prospect Hospice were given five tickets, and staff members who wished to attend were put in a ballot. One of the chosen five is Eddie who works in the HR department at the hospice.
Eddie said: “I feel very privileged to have been selected to represent Prospect Hospice on this momentous occasion. With Queen Camilla serving as the hospice's president, it is a wonderful opportunity to be part of such an historic event.
"I am thrilled to have this chance of being there in person, as I have only ever watched these kinds of celebrations on TV. I can't wait to immerse myself in the atmosphere, history, and pageantry of the event. It's going to be a truly unforgettable experience.”
The tickets allocated to the hospice’s employees will provide them with seats within the grandstand situated by the Queen Victoria Memorial.
From this vantage point, they will be able to witness the military manoeuvres, processions, and other key moments of the coronation celebration, including the balcony appearance and the flypast.
