Rick Stein’s Marlborough restaurant was host to a coffee morning recently, raising over £600 for Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s charity, Brighter Futures.

For a suggested donation of five pounds, guests were treated to home-made carrot cake and brownies, all served up with hot drinks in the magnificent grade II listed Lloran House on Marlborough High Street.

The coffee morning, which ran on Thursday 21 January between 9:30 to 11:00am, provided a good opportunity for the fundraising team to meet with local supporters and share news of their upcoming events.

The event reached full capacity, with guests traveling from around the area to enjoy an early morning treat, whilst catching up with friends and fellow fundraisers.

Jane Leighton, Major Gifts Manager for Brighter Futures, said: “We are so grateful to everyone who attended and are thrilled that the event raised so much money which we can use when working to enhance the care provided at Great Western Hospital.

“The staff at Rick Stein Marlborough gave a very warm welcome to everyone who came along and the service was wonderful. Guests and the team alike all thoroughly enjoyed their morning.”

Stephane Malbranche, general manager of Rick Stein Marlborough, said: “We’re thrilled to have hosted and helped Brighter Futures raise money for their wonderful charity.”
