Local rescue service, the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, will be hosting a special Carols by Candlelight fundraising event in Marlborough this December.

Marlborough College Chapel will be the venue for the festivities, which will include carols sung by The Warminster Military Wives Choir and Marlborough Youth Choir.

The event will take place on Tuesday 20 December, with doors opening at 6pm, for a 7pm start. The service will be led by Bishop Andrew from Salisbury.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance’s fundraising coordinator for events, Beth Knights, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be inviting our supporters to come together and celebrate this Christmas.

“We hope to see as many people as possible enjoying the festivities with us at the beautiful Chapel at Marlborough College.”

The event will also see readings from critical care paramedic Craig Wilkins, lifetime president Richard Youens, and charity ambassador Paul Martin.

Attendees will be able to enjoy refreshments, including mulled wine and minced pies.

Tickets can be purchased online now, with the event costing £12 for adults, £8 for under-16s, and a family ticket (for two adults, two children) is priced £35.

The event is sponsored by Barnes Coaches of Swindon, with further support from NFU Mutual.

Members of the public can visit wiltshireairambulance.co.uk/carols to find out more, or to secure tickets.
