Year 11 students at Swindon's Commonweal School are today after collecting GCSE results that reflect five years of effort and a commitment to learning.

School leaders say the students have shown resilience, matured greatly, developed real independence skills and, most importantly, discovered what it takes to succeed.
A spokesperson said: "Our school community looks forward to welcoming lots of students into our sixth form in September and wish others well in alternative destinations.
"We are an inclusive school and we celebrate the successes which come in many forms today.
"We have seen a significant improvement from the November pre-apps to this summer's exams. Students told us today that success has come from 'reacting to feedback', 'completing tons of past papers' and attending intervention sessions.
"We must, of course, acknowledge the invaluable support of staff, family and friends. 64% of the cohort secured at least five grades at 4 or above, with a number of students securing the top Grade 9s; this grade is only given to the top 5% of students nationally."
Charles Drew, Headteacher Charles Drew said: "I would like to thank families, carers and staff for the support you have given this cohort of students.
"Success in education does not happen by accident, it happens because of the resilience of the young person and the support given by those around them. I wish you well for your next steps."
"There are lots of success stories today, but we want to celebrate the achievements of students who have made exceptional progress or are our top performers.
"These include Harshit Sharma, Elizabeth Banks, Oscar King, Aalaa Abdelmagid, Varsheetha Adi Narayanan Sureka, Lottie Saunders, Alfie Woods and Mauri Perciavalle."
