The White Horse Federation (TWHF) has officially welcomed 10 more schools across the Swindon area.

The move expands the trust to 40 schools across Swindon, Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Wiltshire.

Dr Dan Nicholls, CEO of The White Horse Federation said: “We are delighted to welcome these 10 new schools and their pupils, families and colleagues to the White Horse Federation family to help us inspire the lives of even more children with greater opportunity and choice.

“Our mission is anchored by our values of inclusivity, kindness, integrity, equity and resilience, and we are pleased to be joining forces with schools that share our commitment to children and communities across Swindon.

“We know the schools and communities we serve well, and our shared understanding of Swindon, alongside our experience of supporting schools to improve, gives us a strong foundation for working together to ensure more children and families in the area can thrive.”

Goddard Park Primary School has joined the trust, along with schools which were formerly part of Grove Learning Trust, including:

- Eastrop Infant School, Highworth
- Southfield Junior School, Highworth
- Millbrook Primary School, Swindon
- Peatmoor Community Primary School, Swindon
- Shaw Ridge Primary School, Swindon
- Wroughton Infant School, Swindon
- Wroughton Junior School, Swindon
- Oakhurst Community Primary School, Swindon
- Haydonleigh Primary School, Swindon

While the schools officially join TWHF this month, the trust has already been working closely with them for some time, meaning the formal partnership builds on already well-established working relationships.

The 10 schools join TWHF's existing family of primary and secondary schools, as well as two special schools.

The merging of expertise and experience across all the schools, the trust says, will create greater capacity and geographic coherence that will significantly support children, families and the communities of Swindon.

TWHF aims to provide first-class education for a wide range of young people. Their schools embrace values-based education to ensure all children are supported with the skills and qualities they’ll need to succeed in the future.

The trust says the arrival of Goddard Park Primary School and the former Grove Learning Trust schools further strengthens TWHF's commitment to serving children, families and communities across Swindon.

The trust has a strong track record of school improvement and was shortlisted for Trust of the Year at this year's prestigious TES Awards, having won Inclusive Trust of the Year at the awards in 2025.
