Young footballers at St Catherine's Catholic Primary School in Swindon have a new strip thanks to a parent's generosity.
The girls’ football team is a relatively new development for the school as more and more girls have taken up the sport in recent years.
However, they have been playing their matches in an assortment of kit as the school didn’t have the money to buy suitable gear for them to play in.
Headteacher Sarah Burke said: "Mr Wheeler, who doesn’t even have a child on the team, sent an email asking whether his company, WJW Decs, could sponsor a new kit for the girls.
"He wanted to encourage more girls to participate, particularly following the success of the Lionesses - and felt that the girls representing the school in a smart new kit might help.
"The girls’ excitement of seeing the new kit and getting to try in on – and then getting to play wearing it – has been palpable and was so very lovely to see."
