Ofsted hails outstanding progress at Highworth Warneford School

Inspectors recognised strengths across all areas of the school's provision and awarded a Strong judgement in the Personal Development category.
The report highlights many strengths of the school, with inspectors praising a range of features that make Highworth Warneford a thriving and ambitious place to learn, grow and achieve. 
They commended the school's ambitious and broad curriculum, noting that teachers have "...secure knowledge of, and a passion for, the subjects that they teach."
The inspection also recognised the school's excellent work in personal development, awarding a Strong judgement in this area, while all other areas met the high expectations of Ofsted's revised framework. 
This significant achievement, the school says, follows two previous inspections that judged the school to require improvement and stands as clear recognition of the substantial progress made in recent years.
The outcome, the school says, reflects a school where ambition, determination and high expectations underpin everyday practice, enabling pupils to thrive both academically and personally. Importantly, the inspection was conducted under Ofsted's revised framework, which introduces a broader range of judgements and raises expectations across all aspects of school provision.
Ofsted's answer to the question, "What is it like to be a pupil at this school?" is described as especially positive: "Pupils feel proud to be part of the community. Warm, positive relationships between staff and pupils contribute to pupils feeling valued and included. 
"Pupils enjoy their learning and look forward to the many enrichment opportunities available to them. 
"During social times, pupils enjoy using the sports and music facilities and socialising with others. There is a calm and harmonious atmosphere. Pupils are respectful of one another and bullying is rare."
Gemma Piper, CEO of The Park Academies Trust, said: "This report highlights the many strengths of the school and provides a powerful endorsement of the significant progress made in recent years. 
"It recognises both the pace of improvement and the exceptional work of leaders and staff in securing excellent experiences and outcomes for current and future pupils."
