Yesterday hundreds of runners took off from Lydiard Park Academy, racing to raise funds for Breast Cancer Now.
Swindon's Mayor, Cllr Maureen Penny, launched the race with many participants made up in fancy dress.
Starting out in 2008, The Mad March Hare was inspired by Irene Hare - a founding member of local walking group Swindon Twin Peaks Power Walking Group. In 2006 Irene passed away from breast cancer.
This year runners, walkers, and canine companions, set out on their 10K and 5K routes circling back to Lydiard Park Academy for the finish line. Last year alone the event raised over £100,000 for Breast Cancer Now.
