Local knitting group – Swindon Stitch and Bitch have yarn bombed their knitting headquarters, Manor Farm Pub. The ladies have knitted and crocheted giant snowflakes stretched across hula hoops which have been hung from the ceiling in the pub.

Tracey Major, who dreamed up the plan said: “I had seen them first on the Yarndale shows Facebook page and fell in love with them. I thought they would be a fantastic thing for the ladies to knit as snowflakes. It felt right to yarn bomb the pub where we meet. We wanted to say a thank you for hosting our little meets every week and for looking after us, and they get some wonderful and truly original Christmas decorations. They are very beautiful, we have been offered money for them already! They are a must-see this Christmas.”

The giant snowflakes were made with snowflake patterns found online and 18-inch kid’s hula hoops.

The group meets every Monday evening at 7.30pm at the Manor Farm Pub.
