A £400,000 adventure golf course inspired by Wiltshire's most iconic landmarks is now open at Basset Down Complex.

Set against stunning countryside, Basset Down Adventure Golf is the latest addition to the popular golf and leisure complex.

The complex is home to a 12-hole golf course, extended and reopened in May, along with a Toptracer driving range, disc golf and footgolf. Visitors can also enjoy padel courts, an award-winning restaurant, bar and dedicated event spaces.

The mini golf course was designed and built by Greenspan, the UK’s leading specialist in mini golf design and construction, with investment from Sonder Sports.

Owned by Sonder Sports, the course is operated in partnership with Basset Down Complex, which will manage the facility alongside its existing golf, leisure, hospitality and catering operations.

The course has been thoughtfully designed around some of Wiltshire's most iconic landmarks and landscapes, celebrating the county's rich history, stunning scenery and unique character to deliver an experience that is unmistakably Wiltshire.

Players begin by navigating the famous Caen Hill Locks on the opening hole, before putting beneath Stonehenge and making their way through Savernake Forest, The Ridgeway, West Kennet Long Barrow, Silbury Hill, Barbury Castle and the Wiltshire White Horse, finishing at Marlborough Mound.

Every round brings new challenges, exciting obstacles and plenty of opportunities for friendly competition.

Juliette Nutland, owner and director of Basset Down Complex, said: “We’re delighted to see the new mini golf course officially open and already being enjoyed by the public.

"The launch day was a great success, with fantastic feedback from visitors. This exciting addition to our existing family-friendly activities further strengthens Basset Down Complex’s golf and leisure offering as we continue to establish ourselves as a leading leisure destination for Wiltshire and beyond.”

Described as perfect for families, friends, work events and parties, the course is open every day from 9am.

Tickets are priced at £10 for adults and £8 for under-18s and concessions, with family tickets available at £30.

Concessions include students, Blue Light Card holders, military personnel and Blue Badge holders (valid photo ID required).

Suleman Baig of Sonder Sports said: “We are delighted with the partnership we have built with Juliette, Rosie, and the team at Basset Down Complex.

"Having worked so hard to turn our shared vision for the course into a reality, seeing so many playing the course and enjoying themselves makes it all worthwhile. We loved the potential of the location from the first day we visited.

"It’s the perfect setting, and we couldn’t have found better partners in the Nutland family to operate the facility and make it a real success.”

Visitors can book online to secure their ideal tee time or simply walk up and play. Offers and packages are also available for parties, group events and exclusive hire of the course.

Basset Down Adventure Golf is located at Basset Down Complex, Hay Lane, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN4 9QW.
