The Wyvern Theatre has announced the latest cast member to sign up for this year's Panto.
Stage and screen actor Ben Goffe will join previously announced stars Lisa George and David Ashley, playing Cinderella’s best friend Buttons.
Ben has most recently been performing in West End show The Choir of Man and could be seen on TV as a guest on Strictly Come Dancing; It Takes Two.
\Additional theatre credits include Hex (National Theatre), A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Hypocrite, Dido Queen of Carthage (RSC), Così Fan Tutte (ENO), Snow White at the London Palladium to name a few.
In TV and film Ben has appeared in Hapless, The Best Bottoms in the Land, Imported, Let’s Dance for Sport Relief, Short Work, Big Brother’s Big Mouth, The Friday Night Project, Artemis Fowl, AmStarDam and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Ben, a veteran of many pantomimes, said: "I am thrilled to be heading back to pantoland to join the wonderfully talented Lisa George and David Ashley in Cinderella playing the role of Cinderella’s best friend Buttons.
"I have heard that audiences at the Wyvern are up for plenty of fun and laughter in panto, so I can’t wait to get started!"
A Wyvern spokesperson said: "Cinderella promises to make all your Christmas wishes come true, with laughs galore, sensational singing and dancing, bucket loads of audience participation and a touch of fairy godmother magic.
"Poor Cinderella works night and day but dreams of a very different life and with an invitation to the royal ball it looks as if her wish may be granted.
"Will her Wicked Stepsisters succeed in ruining Cinderella’s dreams of happiness, or will her Fairy Godmother and loyal friend Buttons be able to thwart their devilish plans? Pop on your glad-rags and join us at the ball to find out!"
