People can try their hand at art during studio open day

Swindon-based Podpadstudios will host its latest free open event on Friday 24 July.

A spokesperson said: "We have Cricklade camera club, and water colour artists Stuart Malaure as special guests.
"We will be offering visitors a chance to chat about art and photography and have a go at water colour painting for free."
The theme is Material Mayhem, and the spokesperson added: "Join us for a relaxed afternoon of creativity in the magical Mulberry Gardens, Swindon.
"Try out different mediums: water colour with Stuart Malaure, alcohol inks, acrylics and charcoal with Zozo Thomas. Talk to Cricklade Camera Club members about photography and Master Maker Mark Enright from Podpadstudios about...everything else!
"Zozo Thomas will be in the potting shed, giving you the chance to try lots of different art materials, from coloured pencils to alcohol inks, acrylics to charcoal. Local watercolour artist, Stuart Malaure joins her.
"Stuart loves experimenting with different scenes, focusing on the challenge of showing textures, using wet on wet, wet on damp and other techniques for watercolour painting.
"Members of Cricklade Camera Club will be on hand to chat about all things photographic, both digital and physical. This small, friendly club participates in the Southern Federation competitions and photographic battles with other local clubs.
"They welcome new members, whether beginners or experienced photographers.
"Master Maker and Mrs Breaker, otherwise known as Mark and Anna Enright from Podpadstudios, will be chatting about the choice of materials for model and prop making and how different treatments and detailing add impact.
"Tiffany, our giant Hunter-Killer robot with built-in artificial intelligence, will be on display. Visitors will be guessing how many different materials she is made from!"
The event will run from 2-7pm t 225 Whitworth Road, Swindon SN25 3BX.
Entrance to the open studios is free, but donations towards the upkeep of the garden will be gratefully accepted. There will also be a wide range of gifts and artwork available for sale. Booking via thomzodesigns.co.uk/product/24th-july is recommended so that the organisers can get an idea of numbers.
There is limited, disabled only parking on site, so visitors are encouraged to walk, come by public transport, or park considerately locally and walk to the venue.
