Swindon and Wiltshire Pride are inviting people to volunteer or become new members of staff and asking for sponsors.

Pride is set to return this year on Saturday 9 August, but it can only happen with the generous support of volunteers.

A spokesperson said: "Can you help with the annual Pride event in August, our Pride Hub on Saturdays or other activities through the year? If you can, you might want to consider becoming a volunteer.

"Are you hard-working, enthusiastic, and passionate about supporting the LGBTQIA+ community? Join Swindon and Wiltshire Pride and engage with the community, organize and attend fundraisers, and help make Pride a success all year round by becoming a member of staff."

Pride is seeking to fill the following roles:

- Administrator/Secretary

- Communications Manager

- Event Coordinator

- Social Media Content Creator

- Deputy Community Engagement Manager

- Trustee

The spokesperson added: "Not sure which role fits, or if you have enough time? They also welcome Committee Members without portfolios, or you could become a volunteer instead."

Preparations for Swindon and Wiltshire Pride 2025 are already underway, and the team would like to hear from businesses, organisations, and individuals who want to make a difference in the community by supporting the event.

Sponsors not only help to keep the event free, they also help to create a vibrant, inclusive celebration at the same time as demonstrating a commitment to diversity, equality, and social progress.

Swindon & Wiltshire Pride is the largest celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community in the region, bringing together thousands of people for a day of joy, solidarity, and awareness. But it is more than just a one-day event — through the Pride Hub, community outreach, and year-round initiatives, they continue to provide vital support and resources to LGBTQIA+ individuals and their allies.

By sponsoring Pride 2025, organisations can:

- Showcase their support for equality and inclusion to a diverse and engaged audience.

- Raise awareness of their brand within the local and LGBTQIA+ community.

- Align their company with the values of acceptance, visibility, and social good.

- Contriubute to the sustainability and growth of Swindon and Wiltshire Pride, ensuring events and initiatives continue to thrive.

The spokesperson said: "If your company is interested in sponsoring, or if you know someone within your workplace who might want to get involved, you can get in touch with Lee, the Sponsorship and Merchandise Manager via [email protected]

"Swindon and Wiltshire Pride's new 2025 Pride Support Guide is now available in print, and online. If you'd like any for schools, workplaces, or community spaces within Wiltshire then please contact Community Engagement Manager, Phoenix: [email protected]"
