Wiltshire’s newest healthcare provider will be holding recruitment events throughout November for people looking to take their first steps in a career with the NHS.
The product of three NHS organisations working together to provide more joined up care, Wiltshire Health and Care began life on 1 July and is now looking to recruit a number of rehab support workers to help patients readjust to life at home after a stay in hospital.
Beginning at Savernake Hospital on Monday 14 November, recruitment events will be held at Amesbury Health Centre, Warminster Community Hospital and Chippenham Community Hospital on 16, 17 and 18 November respectively.
Douglas Blair, Managing Director, said: “The NHS is built on teamwork and we’re committed to having a strong team behind us at Wiltshire Health and Care, which is why we’re keen for any caring people with a desire to help people and make a difference to come along and talk to us at one of these upcoming events.”
Rehab support workers play a vital role in community healthcare as they often bridge the gap between when a patient leaves hospital and when they are able to look after themselves independently again.
As patients readjust to life in their own homes, rehab support workers can offer a more personalised level of care, which in turn can help avoid unnecessary readmissions to hospital or other care environments.
People coming along to any of the recruitment days will have the opportunity to talk through the role with existing members of staff, find out more about Wiltshire Health and Care and have an interview for one of the positions available.
Wiltshire Health and Care is an NHS partnership formed between Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust and Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust and provides community healthcare to adults across the county.
