A man suffered a head injury after being struck by a lorry on Marlborough Road.
The accident took place on the dual carriageway opposite The Great Western Hospital where the man is now being cared for.
A spokesman from the South West Ambulance Service said: "We attended with a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance and the casualty was taken to Great Western Hospital for treatment."
