Swindon Police are advising drivers to avoid the A420.
A road closure is currently in place following a serious road traffic accident near Shrivenham.
Please seek alternative routes to allow emergency services to attend the scene.
A police spokesperson said: "It is likely that the road will be closed for a numbers of hours.
"We will provide updates as soon as the road has reopened.
"Thank you for your patience."
