Free support for Swindon people struggling with cost of living

Swindon Borough Council is reminding the public that it runs free drop-in sessions to help people who have difficulties with living costs.

A spokesperson said: "Anyone who needs help with benefits, debt, housing, energy costs or other cost of living challenges is being encouraged to attend a series of free drop-in sessions taking place across Swindon throughout September.
"Financial Wellbeing Advisors from Citizens Advice Swindon will be offering confidential advice and guidance at community venues across the Borough, with no appointment needed."
Sessions are or shall be held:
- Every Tuesday, Central Library, from 12.30pm to 4pm
- Every Wednesday, Park Library (SN3 2LZ), from 10am to 2pm
- Wednesday, 16 September, St Mary's Church Hall (SN2 2PF), from 9.30am to 11am
- Wednesday, 16 September, The Hub, Toothill (SN5 8SX), from 2pm to 4pm
- Thursday, 17 September, Buckhurst Community Centre (SN3 3BS), from 1pm to 3pm
- Friday, 18 September, Wroughton Library (SN4 9LW), from 9.30am to 11.30am
- Tuesday, 22 September, John Moulton Hall (SN2 5DU), from 1pm to 2.30pm
- Friday, 25 September, Meadowcroft Community Centre (SN2 7JX), from 10am to 12pm
-  Saturday, 26 September, Recovery Festival, Old Town Gardens, from 12pm to 4pm
- Monday, 28 September, North Swindon Library (SN25 4AN), from 2pm to 4pm
- Every Wednesday at Park Library (SN3 2LZ), from 10am to 2pm
