Three men have appeared in court in connection with a shooting in Gorse Hill on 19 June in which a man suffered life-changing injuries.
Kyron Anthony, 20, of Milton Road, Swindon, appeared at Swindon Crown Court and pleaded not guilty to a charge of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
A trial has been scheduled to begin on 2 November at Swindon Crown Court.
Dylan Anthony, 19, also of Milton Road, appeared charged with attempted murder. He is due to return to court on 28 August for a Pre-Trial Preparation Hearing.
Peter Bullock, 51, of Queens Drive, appeared charged with assisting an offender. He is seeking to have the charge dismissed and will attend a potential dismissal hearing on 24 September.
Eight people were initially arrested following the incident. Two have since been released with no further action taken.
Three others remain under investigation and have been released on bail:
- A 32-year-old man arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and being concerned in the supply of Class C drugs
- A 19-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender
- A 30-year-old man arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder
Police enquiries into the shooting are ongoing.
