Bosses of Hickory's Smokehouse in Middleleaze say the restaurant is closed following a fire yesterday - Sunday 8 June.
The temporary closure of the recently-opened restaurant was announced in a social media post saying: "Unfortunately, we’re closed at the moment, following an incident yesterday evening.
"We’re hoping to be back open & smokin as soon as possible, all updates will be posted on here to keep you upto date.
"If you have a booking with us today, we’ll be in touch shortly.
"We’re so sorry for any inconvenience caused & thank you for your patience and understanding."
