Since 1991 the Old Town Festival has been bringing communities together and supporting local charities. For next year's event, Swindon based charities are now being asked to submit nominations by 14 December to become Old Town Festival’s Charities of the Year 2019

The organisers of the Old Town Festival 2019 are seeking local charities and good causes to support for the event’s 28th year. Since 1991 the Old Town Festival has been bringing together thousands of people from right across Swindon to celebrate our community, showcase local talent and businesses while raising funds for local charities.

This Summer the Old Town Festival raised over £500 for Brighter Futures and the Swindon Branch of Parkinson’s UK and is looking to support more local charities during June 2019. Swindon based charities are asked to send in their applications to Denise at  [email protected] by 14 December to be in for a chance of becoming one of the Festival’s 2019 Charity Partners.

Sarah Church, Chair of the Old Town Festival Committee said; “While next summer may seem like an age away on these cold autumn nights, our volunteer committee is already hard at work planning for an even bigger and better 2019 Old Town Festival. It was fantastic to raise hundreds of pounds for Brighter Futures and the Swindon Branch of Parkinson’s UK this year, and we are keen to support more local charities in 2019. If you know one, or are involved in an organisation which supports Old Town and the Swindon area then please do get in touch by 14th December. We will announce our new charity partners in January, and look forward to working with them as we build up to the start of the Festival on 9th June 2019.”

To apply, charities must be based in Swindon and focus on supporting the local community. Potential partners will be shortlisted and invited to meet the Old Town Festival Committee during January, with an announcement of the 2019 Charity Partners made later that month.

Applications must be received via email by 14 December, and to apply please contact  [email protected]
