Pensioners are being called on to check whether they are entitled to extra help with basic living costs.

Swindon Borough Council is backing a national Government campaign for pensioners to find out whether they are entitled to Pension Credit.
The benefit is intended to help people who are struggling with costs such as heating and other necessities.
A council spokesperson said: "Pension Credit gives you extra money to help with your living costs if you’re over State Pension age and on a low income.
"The extra money could be worth, on average, £3,900 per year and unlocks additional support including a Winter Fuel Payment worth up to £300 per household, help with council tax, NHS dental care and, for those over 75, a free TV licence.
"The latest date to apply and still qualify for a Winter Fuel Payment is 21 December."
