Thousands still missing out on Pension Credit

It's estimated that up to 880,000 households across the UK are missing out on Pension Credit.

On average Pension Credit is worth £3,900 per year, and gives you extra money to help with your living costs if you’re over State Pension age and on a low income. It can also help with housing costs such as ground rent or service charges.

You might get extra help if you’re a carer, severely disabled, or responsible for a child or young person.

Pension Credit is separate from your State Pension and you may still be eligible even if you have other income, savings or own your own home.

The latest date to apply and still qualify for a Winter Fuel Payment is 21 December 2024.
