The majority of the Swindon Borough Council works have already been completed and the results can be seen in a number of locations including Croft Road, Bath Road, Eastcott Road and Rowan Road.
A council spokesperson said: "These roads were prioritised for a variety of reasons, whether that is because they’re key routes on Swindon’s road network, high-traffic areas or locations that were in the most need of repair.
"Limited resources mean that in 2026/27 we will spend almost £6m on highways and pathways.
"This includes spending £2.9m on planned maintenance and surface dressing for major and minor roads, as well as funding for routine road maintenance, such as £200,000 on reactive pothole repairs. "This maintenance also includes patching repairs, road markings and traffic light maintenance."
