Swindon Borough Council are giving thanks to those who attended the Fleming Way improvements sessions that were held last week.
The council says it ran these pop-in sessions in order to show residents how the project will play a key role in regenerating the area.
A spokesperson said: "It was great to see so many people take the time to understand what changes were happening and why it would benefit the town as a whole."
The Fleming Way upgrade aims to stimulate further investment in the town centre by increasing land values and unlocking the new development at the adjacent Kimmerfields site.
It will also aim to improve a key gateway into Swindon from a pedestrian point of view and replace the ageing bus station which currently acts as a hub for national transport including to popular locations such as Oxford, London and Bristol.
The council says this in turn will then make it more attractive for investors to bring forward retail, residential, office-based or leisure facilities.
