Swindon Humanitarian Aid Partnership are still collecting unwanted or leftover candles for its Candle Collection for Ukraine, until the end of this month to help people through the dark winter months.
Swindon Humanitarian Aid Partnership are currently collecting all spare candles right up until the end of this January.
There is a collection point for the candles at the Ellendune Community Centre in Wroughton.
Swindon Humanitarian Aid Partnership will collect all the donated candles, and with the help of many local volunteers the team will make hundreds of new candles and transport them out to Ukraine to help provide basic light during the cold dark months of winter.
The Ellendune Community Centre is open from 9am - 3pm daily, and it will accept candles until the end of January. The collection point can be found just inside the Centre.
The scheme has been running since December and many local residents have already left a large amount of candle donations.
A spokesperson from Swindon Humanitarian Aid Partnership said: "We are thrilled with the candle donations we have received so far. We also want to give thanks to Jo who designed the poster for the collection box."
